Wynn and Encore Wedding Photographer: A Guide to Wedding Photos at Wynn Las Vegas
Updated: 2 days ago
Wynn Las Vegas and Encore are the most polished wedding venues on the Strip: mosaic floors, fresh flowers everywhere, the Lake of Dreams behind a curtain of trees and a level of service that shows in every photo. As a Las Vegas wedding photographer who has covered dozens of weddings at Wynn and Encore, here is how we plan the photography for a wedding there.
The Wynn Wedding Salons
Wynn's wedding salons are bright, contemporary rooms with soft neutral tones, tall windows and an abundance of natural light, which is rare for a Strip chapel. The light is flattering from any angle, so we can work without flash during the ceremony and keep the atmosphere intimate. The Lavender Salon and the Primrose Court are the two spaces we photograph most often; the court adds a garden feel with its greenery and fountain. The salons take a chuppah, a mandap or a full floral arch comfortably, and the wide aisle gives us clean processional frames.
Where we photograph at Wynn and Encore
The Wynn Esplanade, with its mosaic floors, parasols and floral installations, is the best indoor portrait location on the Strip, especially the atrium under the glass ceiling. At Encore, the red and gold corridors and the butterfly motifs give a completely different look, so couples get two styles of portraits in one property. Outside, the Encore Beach Club terrace and the resort's garden walkways photograph beautifully in the last hour before sunset. After dark, the Lake of Dreams shows and the Wynn sign provide the signature Las Vegas night portrait without leaving the property.
Light and timing at Wynn
Because the salons have real daylight, an afternoon ceremony photographs well at Wynn even in summer, when most Strip ceremonies are better after 4 pm. We still push the couple portraits toward the golden hour, and we schedule a fifteen-minute night session at the lake or on the Strip sidewalk with the Wynn curve lit behind the couple. Indoors, the resort's warm lighting is consistent, so skin tones stay natural and the reception photos match the ceremony photos.
Wynn photography rules
Wynn is welcoming to wedding photographers working with couples who are celebrating on property, and the wedding salon team coordinates with us on the day. Tripods and light stands are not allowed in public areas, photography on the casino floor is restricted, and the restaurants and pools ask for advance notice. We handle all of this in the planning call so nothing slows the day down. If you are getting married elsewhere and want Wynn portraits only, a short, discreet session is possible; tell us early and we will plan the route.
A sample Wynn wedding photography timeline
For a 4:30 pm salon ceremony: getting-ready coverage in the tower suite from 2:00, a first look in the Esplanade atrium at 3:30, ceremony at 4:30, family portraits in the salon, couple portraits in the gardens and at the Encore terrace from 5:30 to 6:15, reception from 6:30, and a fifteen-minute night session at the Lake of Dreams around 8:45. Couples adding a wedding film get one team for photo and video on the same plan; see our Las Vegas wedding films.
