Trade Show Photography in Las Vegas: Booth, Product and Team Coverage for Exhibitors
Exhibiting in Las Vegas is expensive: booth space, build, travel, staff, giveaways. The photos and video you take home are the only part of that investment that keeps working after the show closes. They feed the post-show sales emails, the LinkedIn recap, next year's sponsorship pitch and the press kit. This guide covers what exhibitors should capture at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Venetian Expo, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Caesars Forum and the other Strip venues, and how to plan it.
The Las Vegas trade show calendar
The big shows return every year: CES in January, SHOT Show in January, MAGIC and the fashion shows in February and August, NAB Show in April, the World of Concrete, ASD Market Week, IMEX, G2E and dozens of association conferences in between. Photographers and videographers book out weeks ahead of the largest shows, so lock in your coverage when you confirm the booth, not the week before.
What to photograph at your booth
The empty booth before doors open: clean, wide, well lit. This is the image your exhibit builder, your sponsors and your own sales deck will use for years.
The busy booth during peak hours: crowds at the demo, conversations, badges being scanned. Proof of traffic for the people who approved the budget.
Product details and demos: hands on the product, screens in use, the moment a visitor reacts.
The team: a group portrait at the booth and individual headshots your staff can use on LinkedIn the same week.
Partners, press and VIP visitors: handshakes, signed deals, executives at the stand. Ask your photographer to stay reachable by text for these moments.
Speaking slots, awards and the show floor itself, so the recap tells the whole story.
Video that earns its place
A trade show is the cheapest place to record a year of video content. Plan a 60 to 90 second booth highlight for the website and YouTube, vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels and LinkedIn, short customer testimonials recorded in a quiet corner with a lav microphone, and clean b-roll of the product in use that your PR team can hand to TV and trade press. If executives are giving interviews or recording a podcast at the show, one extra camera turns it into a proper production.
Scheduling and venue logistics
Shoot the empty booth during setup or in the first thirty minutes after doors open, when the aisles are still clear and the lighting is untouched. Schedule team portraits at a fixed time so nobody is on a sales call. Most Las Vegas venues require the photographer to hold an exhibitor or vendor badge and, for some halls, a certificate of insurance on file. Send the show's vendor rules to your photographer with the contract; we can provide a COI and W-9 for onboarding.
Delivery while the show is still on
The best time to post from a trade show is during the trade show. With our express editing service the finished, ready-to-use product is delivered within 24 hours, so day-one photos and clips can go out on day two, and the recap reel is ready for the follow-up email that leaves before your competitors' does. Full galleries follow online, with usage rights for your marketing.
